What Our Partners Say

★★★★★

Comet Tool Company has been our sole source for surgical instrument housings for over eight years. Their AS9100-backed quality process and zero-defect track record give us confidence that no offshore supplier ever could.

JM
J. Mitchell, VP Engineering
Medical Device OEM · New England
★★★★★

We moved our closure program to Comet Tool Company after quality issues with a larger supplier. Their DFM team caught wall-thickness issues that would have cost us six figures in rework. They've been a true engineering partner.

SR
S. Rahman, Director of Operations
Pharmaceutical Packaging · Mid-Atlantic
★★★★★

AS9100D certification was the baseline — but Comet Tool Company's responsiveness is what keeps us coming back. Prototype to production in weeks, not months. For defense subcontract work, that speed is a competitive advantage.

Precision Is Our
Only Standard

Since 1983, Comet Tool Company has delivered American-made injection molding solutions for the world's most demanding applications.

Built on Craftsmanship,
Grown on Trust

Comet Tool Company was founded in Pitman, New Jersey in 1983 with a single mission: to build the most precise plastic injection molds and deliver the highest-quality molded components in the region.

Over four decades, we've expanded our capabilities while preserving what makes us different — a boutique approach to precision manufacturing that means every customer gets direct access to our engineers, tight feedback loops, and accountability that large volume shops simply cannot provide.

Today, Comet Tool Company serves customers across medical, aerospace, pharmaceutical, electronics, telecommunications, and industrial sectors — many of whom have partnered with us for more than 20 years.

Comet Tool Company Facility

The Principles That Drive Everything We Build

01

Precision Above All

We hold ourselves to tolerances tighter than our customers ask for. Our standard is zero defects — not a goal, an expectation.

02

Radical Accountability

If there's a problem, we say so immediately and we fix it — on our dime. No finger-pointing, no excuses. Just solutions.

03

American Craftsmanship

Everything we build is built in New Jersey by skilled American machinists and technicians who take personal pride in their work.

04

Partnership Mentality

We treat every project as a long-term partnership. Our customers' engineers work directly with our engineers — no sales layers, no outsourced project management.

What We Can Produce for You

Engineering Resins

ABS, Nylon, Polycarbonate, PEEK, Ultem, Acetal (POM), PBT, Polysulfone, PPS, and more. We work with your material specification, not around it.

Precision Tolerances

Standard capability to ±0.005″. Critical features to ±0.001″ with validated tooling and process controls in place.

Insert Molding

Metal inserts, threaded fasteners, electrical contacts, and custom inlays encapsulated in one shot for reduced assembly cost and superior pull-out strength.

Overmolding

Multi-material and multi-color parts in a single tool. Soft-touch grips, seals, and functional co-molded assemblies for ergonomic and performance applications.

High-Cavitation Tooling

Up to 64+ cavity tools for high-volume programs. Balanced runner systems, hot runner capability, and fully automated production for maximum output and consistency.

Secondary Operations

In-house ultrasonic welding, pad printing, heat staking, and assembly. We ship finished assemblies, not just molded components.

Design for Manufacturability First

Before we quote, our engineers review your part design for wall thickness uniformity, draft angles, gate location, and sink risk. DFM feedback is included at no charge with every quote — because problems caught early are orders of magnitude cheaper than problems caught in production.

What Our DFM Review Catches

  • Insufficient draft angles causing drag and part damage
  • Wall thickness variations leading to sink and warp
  • Gate location conflicts creating weld lines in structural areas
  • Undercuts requiring unnecessary side actions
  • Parting line placement impacting critical surfaces
  • Resin selection mismatches for environmental requirements

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or any order that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation shall be submitted to binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall take place in Gloucester County, New Jersey. The arbitrator's award shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek equitable relief from a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with Seller's written order confirmation and any applicable quotation, constitute the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof, and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, understandings, negotiations, or representations, whether oral or written. These Terms may only be amended by a written agreement signed by authorized representatives of both parties. Any waiver of a provision of these Terms by either party shall not constitute a waiver of any other provision or of the same provision at any future time.
